About Us

Based out of Tampa Bay, Florida and established in 2005, Late Night Brass is an energetic ten-piece (or more)  horn-driven band specializing in corporate events, charitable fundraisers, elegant weddings and music festivals. The group is composed of prominent music educators who teach from the elementary school to the university level. Our members hold advanced degrees in music education, conducting, composition and performance. LNB is especially proud to have musicians who have served and represented every branch of the United States military.

The band's very FIRST gig was providing preshow entertainment for their horn-band heroes, Chicago and Earth Wind & Fire. After opening for these two legendary bands, Late Night Brass was invited back the following year. Since then, LNB has gone on to provide preshow entertainment for other music industry giants such as; Huey Lewis & The News, Billy Joel, Elton John, Sting & The Police, Michael Buble', Dennis DeYoung of STYX, Chris Botti and Bertie Higgens. 

The ensemble's material is well-rehearsed and includes; professionally written horn arrangements, rotating lead/back-up harmonies and strong dance rhythms. The use of our state-of-the art digital-wireless microphone instrument systems allow our musicians to freely move around the room. The band makes the audience feel like a part of the show.

LNB's high-wattage sound is reminiscent of the most famous horn bands of all time; Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Tower of Power, Blood Sweat & Tears, Kool & The Gang, KC & The Sunshine Band, and many other artists that uses horns. Being classically trained musicians and teachers, the band is able to adapt quickly and perform many musical styles that include; Blues, R&B, Swing, Big Band, Disco, Funk, Traditional & Smooth Jazz, Pop-Rock, Rock & Roll, Contemporary Christian and Latin.  Our band leader is a full-time writer/arranger, so our repertoire is constantly growing.

Our standard ten-piece band is led by a dynamic male vocalist and a fabulous female vocalist. The rockin' four-piece rhythm section includes; keyboard, guitar, bass and drums. The red-hot four-piece horn section includes; saxophone, two trumpets and trombone. Every musician is an exciting soloist, with the ability to ignite the crowd. The band can also provide it's own personal audio/lighting engineer with a sound system for any size event. When your budget allows, more vocalists, brass players (classic big band) and Latin Percussionists can be added.

Late Night Brass is capable of providing for a variety of public and private functions. National musical acts, corporate conventions, charitable organizations, churches, weddings, tv/radio promotions, outdoor music festivals, sporting events, hotels, resorts, country clubs, cruise lines and private parties. From beach-party causal to black tie formal, this band brings out the life of the party. Our group accommodates all ages and can tailor a show around most themes and events.

Our price varies in event size, location, time of year, audio/lighting demands, sound/lighting engineer, song requests to be learned, etc. Hiring Late Night Brass is like getting a world-class group, but without the contractual hassle (or attitude) of a national big-name touring act.
